Overnight Prayer Meeting yesterday was really a good time to actually stop and pause our busy life and began to spend time in God's presence. Yesterday , Dev preached on the holy communion and the passover . The Holy communion is linked to the passover that jews celebrate and during this passover. they actuually take many steps and actions before the passover celebrations.

The Father of the house has many responsibilities. Like He's suppose to remove leaven from the house by actually burning a feather and removing even all micro pieces of leaven. Leaven is the ingredient used nowadays in breads to let the bread rise. Leaven represents sin in our lives. The removing of leaven from the house signifies finding every single sin in our lives and bringing it to God and ask for forgiveness.

The second thing the man needs to do is to serve 4 cups of wine to the visitors that come to their home. First cup is the cup of purification. The second cup is cup of passover. The third cup is the cup of redemption and the fourth cup is cup of praise. Jesus did not drink the fourth cup because He leaves it for the 2nd coming when we will be in heaven with Him to drink with him.

Next thing the father needs to do is to take 3 unleavened bread and put in 3 different slots wrapped in white linen cloth. He then removes the middle bread and put in a linen cloth and hides/barries it in somewhere. Next he ask his children to find it. When the child is not able to find it, he will reveal the bread. This signifies Jesus dying on the cross and being buried in the tomb and on the third day He rose again. Jesus was wrapped in linen cloth when He was buried. The unleaven bread will then be eaten as a dessert.

The next thing is the mother has to dip parsely into salt water 2 times. First time represents the isrealites going through the red sea and managed to escape from the egyptians through God's guidance. The second dip represents the egyptians not able to cross over.

During the passover, the family also has to eat bitter herbs.Bitter herbs of the Jewish Passover Seder meal which symbolized the Hebrews' being saved from the death of the first-born son in each Hebrew family in Egypt and the hardships of slavery in Egypt.

During this feast, a extra set of cutlery is laid on the table and there will be an empty chair there for sudden invited guest. Jews leave that chair empty as they believe that Elijah will come to visit. This may be strange but well its their custom:)

The yougest child will prepare 4 questions to ask the father. And the father has to reply by humming a hymn and using stories from Exodus to answer his questions. You may say WOW right? so the Man of the Family has so many spiritual responsibilities in directing the family to the right direction.

In whole ,the holy communion, bread symbolized the body of Jesus and the wine symbolized the blood of Jesus. Its to remember Jesus christ, His body being broken , and is blood being shed for all of us. Its a significant moment for you. So when u take the holy communion next time, Remember Jesus. So u can see Jesus is every part of their custom. So next time when u read your bible, try to look for Jesus. It will make your bible reading more interesting:)

While I was doing my quiet time. I felt God speaking through the verse.

James 1:3-4

"knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing"

Im praying that those who have backslided will slide back to God. I do not know when, But Im believing and trusting in God. AMEN!
